Local Honey
5 Excellent Reasons to Buy Local Honey
Costco, Target, Walmart, and other large corporation food chain operators have created the mentality that more product for less money is good. Well of course it is. Especially when it seems just about everything has become so expensive.
If you can buy something cheap, why on earth would you consider paying more?
Honey for instance. It’s been my experience that local raw honey is very expensive. However, my mindset is my wellness is priceless. So, when I come across something in which I believe the benefits are great, but so is the price, I simply change my attitude about the cost. Something that is good for my health, and my local economy and community, is an investment worth making. Cost is a negative, investment is a positive. Not only don’t I mind making the investment, but I’m also happy to.
With that in mind, here are 5 terrific reasons to purchase local honey.
Local raw honey is varied depending on the types of plants and flowers in the area in which the honeybees are pollinating. The variations range from mild to strong flavors.
Supporting local honey helps the bee population. Honeybees are endangered. Local Beekeepers raise and maintain healthy bees.
Support your local produce farmers. Honeybees pollinate. Local farms rely on local honeybees to pollinate plant foods they’re growing.
Support your community. Local businesses support the local economy. Local businesses pay local taxes, rent, and are often asked to advertise in student activities, and more.
It tastes great! Like a sweet local garden explosion in your mouth. I’m keeping this post short, otherwise I’d list the health benefits of local honey. Which are numerous.
